About this stotra

The Sri Ramashtakam is an eight-verse hymn attributed to the sage Vyasa, presenting Rama not merely as the prince of Ayodhya but as the non-dual Brahman — the supreme Reality beyond all name and form. Each verse worships Ramam advayam, 'the non-dual Rama,' through Vedantic epithets: formless, without affliction, the ship across the ocean of samsara, and the revealer of one's true Self.
This stotram beautifully bridges devotional worship (bhakti) and philosophical inquiry (jnana), making it especially valuable for those on the Advaita path.Phalashruti: Whoever recites or hears this Ramashtakam attains vidya (knowledge), shri (prosperity), boundless happiness, and eternal liberation.
