श्रीरामो रामभद्रश्च रामचन्द्रश्च शाश्वतः ।
राजीवलोचनः श्रीमान्राजेन्द्रो रघुपुङ्गवः ॥ 1 ॥
śrīrāmō rāmabhadraścha rāmachandraścha śāśvataḥ ।

Srirama, Ramabhadra, Ramachandra, the eternal; lotus-eyed, the glorious, king of kings, foremost of the Raghu clan.
जानकीवल्लभो जैत्रो जितामित्रो जनार्दनः ।
विश्वामित्रप्रियो दान्तः शरणत्राणतत्परः ॥ 2 ॥
jānakīvallabhō jaitrō jitāmitrō janārdanaḥ ।
viśvāmitrapriyō dāntaḥ śaraṇatrāṇatatparaḥ ॥ 2 ॥
Janaki's beloved, the victorious, conqueror of enemies, Janardana; dear to Vishvamitra, the self-controlled, ever devoted to protecting those who seek refuge.
वालिप्रमथनो वाग्मी सत्यवाक्सत्यविक्रमः ।
सत्यव्रतो व्रतधरः सदाहनुमदाश्रितः ॥ 3 ॥
vālipramathanō vāgmī satyavāksatyavikramaḥ ।
satyavratō vratadharaḥ sadāhanumadāśritaḥ ॥ 3 ॥
Slayer of Vali, the eloquent, true of speech and valour; true to his vow, the upholder of vows, ever attended by Hanuman.
कौसलेयः खरध्वंसी विराधवधपण्डितः ।
विभीषणपरित्राता हरकोदण्डखण्डनः ॥ 4 ॥
kausalēyaḥ kharadhvaṃsī virādhavadhapaṇḍitaḥ ।
vibhīṣaṇaparitrātā harakōdaṇḍakhaṇḍanaḥ ॥ 4 ॥
Son of Kaushalya, destroyer of Khara, skilled in slaying Viradha; deliverer of Vibhishana, shattering of Shiva's bow.
सप्ततालप्रभेत्ता च दशग्रीवशिरोहरः ।
जामदग्न्यमहादर्पदलनस्ताटकान्तकः ॥ 5 ॥
saptatālaprabhēttā cha daśagrīvaśirōharaḥ ।
jāmadagnyamahādarpadalanastāṭakāntakaḥ ॥ 5 ॥
Piercer of the seven sala trees, remover of the ten heads of Ravana; humbler of Parashurama's pride, slayer of Tataka.
वेदान्तसारो वेदात्मा भवरोगस्य भेषजम् ।
दूषणत्रिशिरोहन्ता त्रिमूर्तिस्त्रिगुणात्मकः ॥ 6 ॥
vēdāntasārō vēdātmā bhavarōgasya bhēṣajam ।
dūṣaṇatriśirōhantā trimūrtistriguṇātmakaḥ ॥ 6 ॥
Essence of the Vedanta, soul of the Vedas, medicine for samsara's disease; slayer of Dushana and Trishira, the three-formed, of three gunas.
त्रिविक्रमस्त्रिलोकात्मा पुण्यचारित्रकीर्तनः ।
त्रिलोकरक्षको धन्वी दण्डकारण्यकर्तनः ॥ 7 ॥
trivikramastrilōkātmā puṇyachāritrakīrtanaḥ ।
trilōkarakṣakō dhanvī daṇḍakāraṇyakartanaḥ ॥ 7 ॥
Trivikrama, soul of the three worlds, one whose holy deeds are to be praised; protector of the three worlds, the bow-bearer, the one who cleared the Dandaka forest.
अहल्याशापशमनः पितृभक्तो वरप्रदः ।
जितेन्द्रियो जितक्रोधो जितामित्रो जगद्गुरुः ॥ 8 ॥
ahalyāśāpaśamanaḥ pitṛbhaktō varapradaḥ ।
jitēndriyō jitakrōdhō jitāmitrō jagadguruḥ ॥ 8 ॥
Dispeller of Ahalya's curse, devoted to his father, granter of boons; conqueror of the senses, conqueror of anger, conqueror of foes, teacher of the universe.
ऋक्षवानरसङ्घाती चित्रकूटसमाश्रयः ।
जयन्तत्राणवरदः सुमित्रापुत्रसेवितः ॥ 9 ॥
ṛkṣavānarasaṅghātī chitrakūṭasamāśrayaḥ ।
jayantatrāṇavaradaḥ sumitrāputrasēvitaḥ ॥ 9 ॥
He who assembled the bears and monkeys, the one who took refuge at Chitrakuta; granter of a boon to Jayanta, served by Lakshmana.
सर्वदेवादिदेवश्च मृतवानरजीवनः ।
मायामारीचहन्ता च महादेवो महाभुजः ॥ 10 ॥
sarvadēvādidēvaścha mṛtavānarajīvanaḥ ।
māyāmārīchahantā cha mahādēvō mahābhujaḥ ॥ 10 ॥
God of all gods, reviver of the dead monkeys; slayer of the illusory Maricha, the great god of mighty arms.
सर्वदेवस्तुतः सौम्यो ब्रह्मण्यो मुनिसंस्तुतः ।
महायोगी महोदारः सुग्रीवेप्सितराज्यदः ॥ 11 ॥
sarvadēvastutaḥ saumyō brahmaṇyō munisaṃstutaḥ ।
mahāyōgī mahōdāraḥ sugrīvēpsitarājyadaḥ ॥ 11 ॥
Praised by all gods, the gentle, devoted to Brahmins, praised by sages; the great yogi, the greatly generous, restorer of Sugriva's desired kingdom.
सर्वपुण्याधिकफलः स्मृतसर्वाघनाशनः ।
आदिपुरुषः परमपुरुषो महापूरुष एव च ॥ 12 ॥
sarvapuṇyādhikaphalaḥ smṛtasarvāghanāśanaḥ ।
ādipuruṣaḥ paramapuruṣō mahāpūruṣa ēva cha ॥ 12 ॥
Most fruitful of all virtuous acts, destroyer of remembered sins; the primeval Purusha, the supreme Purusha, the great Purusha.
पुण्योदयो दयासारः पुराणपुरुषोत्तमः ।
स्मितवक्त्रो मिताभाषी पूर्वभाषी च राघवः ॥ 13 ॥
puṇyōdayō dayāsāraḥ purāṇapuruṣōttamaḥ ।
smitavaktrō mitābhāṣī pūrvabhāṣī cha rāghavaḥ ॥ 13 ॥
The auspiciously risen, the ocean of compassion, the ancient Purushottama; smiling-faced, measured in speech, one who speaks first, Raghava.
अनन्तगुणगम्भीरो धीरोदात्तगुणोत्तमः ।
मायामानुषचारित्रो महादेवादिपूजितः ॥ 14 ॥
anantaguṇagambhīrō dhīrōdāttaguṇōttamaḥ ।
māyāmānuṣachāritrō mahādēvādipūjitaḥ ॥ 14 ॥
Of infinite virtues and depth, of heroic and noble qualities; appearing human through his divine maya, worshipped by Mahadeva and others.
सेतुकृज्जितवाराशिः सर्वतीर्थमयो हरिः ।
श्यामाङ्गः सुन्दरः शूरः पीतवासा धनुर्धरः ॥ 15 ॥
sētukṛjjitavārāśiḥ sarvatīrthamayō hariḥ ।
śyāmāṅgaḥ sundaraḥ śūraḥ pītavāsā dhanurdharaḥ ॥ 15 ॥
Builder of the bridge, conqueror of the ocean, pervading all sacred places; dark-limbed, the beautiful, the heroic, yellow-robed, bearer of the bow.
सर्वयज्ञाधिपो यज्वा जरामरणवर्जितः ।
शिवलिङ्गप्रतिष्ठाता सर्वावगुणवर्जितः ॥ 16 ॥
sarvayajñādhipō yajvā jarāmaraṇavarjitaḥ ।
śivaliṅgapratiṣṭhātā sarvāvaguṇavarjitaḥ ॥ 16 ॥
Lord of all sacrifices, the sacrificer, beyond birth and death; establisher of Shiva's linga, free from all defects.
परमात्मा परं ब्रह्म सच्चिदानन्दविग्रहः ।
परञ्ज्योतिः परन्धाम पराकाशः परात्परः ॥ 17 ॥
paramātmā paraṃ brahma sachchidānandavigrahaḥ ।
parañjyōtiḥ parandhāma parākāśaḥ parātparaḥ ॥ 17 ॥
The supreme self, the supreme Brahman, the embodiment of existence-consciousness-bliss; the supreme light, the supreme abode, the supreme sky, beyond the beyond.
परेशः पारगः पारः सर्वदेवात्मकः परः ॥
parēśaḥ pāragaḥ pāraḥ sarvadēvātmakaḥ paraḥ ॥
The supreme lord, the one who takes across, the shore, the essence of all the gods, the supreme.
एवं श्रीरामचन्द्रस्य नाम्नामष्टोत्तरं शतम्
ēvaṃ śrīrāmachandrasya nāmnāmaṣṭōttaraṃ śatam
Thus are the 108 names of Sri Ramachandra set forth.
