About this stotra
The Ganapati Prarthana Ghanapatham is the Ghana-patha recitation of the classical Vedic Ganapati mantra from the Rigveda (2.23.1), which begins with the invocation of Ganapati as lord of all ganas, wisest among the wise and eldest sovereign of sacred speech (Brahmanaspati). Ghana-patha is the most complex of the eight traditional modes of Vedic recitation — syllables are interwoven in a specified forward-backward-forward pattern, demanding precise memorisation and tremendous concentration. This elaborate recitation style, preserved through oral tradition for thousands of years, is considered especially potent for invoking Ganesha's blessings and is chanted at the beginning of major rituals and Vedic ceremonies.

ōṃ śrī gurubhyō namaḥ । hariḥ ōm ॥
Om. Salutations to the revered Guru. Hari Om.
