॥ १ ॥♪ CHANTING NOW
Verse 1
अस्य श्री महालक्ष्मीहृदयस्तोत्र महामन्त्रस्य भार्गव ऋषिः, अनुष्टुपादीनि नानाछन्दांसि, आद्यादि श्रीमहालक्ष्मीर्देवता, श्रीं बीजं, ह्रीं शक्तिः, ऐं कीलकं, आद्यादिमहालक्ष्मी प्रसादसिद्ध्यर्थं जपे विनियोगः ॥
asya śrī mahālakṣmīhṛdayastōtra mahāmantrasya bhārgava ṛṣiḥ, anuṣṭupādīni nānāChandāṃsi, ādyādi śrīmahālakṣmīrdēvatā, śrīṃ bījaṃ, hrīṃ śaktiḥ, aiṃ kīlakaṃ, ādyādimahālakṣmī prasādasiddhyarthaṃ japē viniyōgaḥ ॥
Viniyoga (ritual dedication): Of this Śrī Mahālakṣmī Hṛdaya Stotram Mahāmantra — the seer (ṛṣi) is Bhārgava (Śukrāchārya); the metres (chandas) are Anuṣṭup and various others; the deity (dēvatā) is Ādi Śrī Mahālakṣmī; the seed-syllable (bīja) is Śrīṃ; the power-syllable (śakti) is Hrīṃ; the pin-syllable (kīlaka) is Aiṃ. The purpose (viniyoga) is the attainment of the four goals of life (dharma, artha, kāma, mōkṣa) and all good fortune.

ऋष्यादिन्यासः
ॐ भार्गवृषये नमः शिरसि ।
ॐ अनुष्टुपादिनानाछन्दोभ्यो नमो मुखे ।
ॐ आद्यादिश्रीमहालक्ष्मी देवतायै नमो हृदये ।
ॐ श्रीं बीजाय नमो गुह्ये ।
ॐ ह्रीं शक्तये नमः पादयोः ।
ॐ ऐं कीलकाय नमो नाभौ ।
ॐ विनियोगाय नमः सर्वाङ्गे ।

Ṛṣyādi-nyāsa (ritual assignment of the mantra components to parts of the body): Oṃ — salutation to the Bhārgava seer upon the head. Oṃ — salutation to the Anuṣṭup and various metres upon the mouth. Oṃ — salutation to Ādi Śrī Mahālakṣmī, the deity, upon the heart. Oṃ Śrīṃ — salutation to the seed-syllable upon the navel. Oṃ Hrīṃ — salutation to the power-syllable upon the secret centre. Oṃ Aiṃ — salutation to the pin-syllable upon the feet. Oṃ — salutation to the entirety of the mantra in all the limbs.

karanyāsaḥ

ōṃ hrīṃ tarjanībhyāṃ namaḥ ।
ōṃ aiṃ madhyamābhyāṃ namaḥ ।

Kara-nyāsa (assignment of bīja-syllables to the fingers and palms): Oṃ Śrīṃ — salutation to the thumbs. Oṃ Hrīṃ — salutation to the index fingers. Oṃ Aiṃ — salutation to the middle fingers. Oṃ Śrīṃ — salutation to the ring fingers. Oṃ Hrīṃ — salutation to the little fingers. Oṃ Aiṃ — salutation to the back and palm of both hands together.

ॐ ह्रीं नेत्रत्रयाय वौषट् ।
ॐ ऐं अस्त्राय फट् ।
ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं ऐं इति दिग्बन्धः ।

ōṃ śrīṃ hṛdayāya namaḥ ।

Aṅga-nyāsa (assignment of bīja-syllables to the six main body parts): Oṃ Śrīṃ — salutation (Hṛdayāya namaḥ) to the heart. Oṃ Hrīṃ — offering (Śirasē svāhā) to the head. Oṃ Aiṃ — oblation (Śikhāyai vaṣaṭ) to the topknot. Oṃ Śrīṃ — protection (Kavachāya hum) as armour. Oṃ Hrīṃ — triple-eye oblation (Nētratrayāya vauṣaṭ). Oṃ Aiṃ — weapon-consecration (Astrāya phaṭ) to the divine weapon.

Verse 5
अथ ध्यानम्
हस्तद्वयेन कमले धारयन्तीं स्वलीलया ।
हारनूपुरसंयुक्तां लक्ष्मीं देवीं विचिन्तये ॥
atha dhyānam
hastadvayēna kamalē dhārayantīṃ svalīlayā ।
hāranūpurasaṃyuktāṃ lakṣmīṃ dēvīṃ vichintayē ॥
First meditation verse (Dhyāna 1): I contemplate Goddess Lakṣmī who effortlessly holds two lotuses in her two hands, adorned with garlands and anklet-bells, the eternal divine Lakṣmī.

Verse 6
कौशेयपीतवसनामरविन्दनेत्रां
पद्मद्वयाभयवरोद्यतपद्महस्ताम् ।
उद्यच्छतार्कसदृशीं परमाङ्कसंस्थां
ध्यायेद्विधीशनतपादयुगां जनित्रीम् ॥
kauśēyapītavasanāmaravindanētrāṃ
padmadvayābhayavarōdyatapadmahastām ।
udyachChatārkasadṛśīṃ paramāṅkasaṃsthāṃ
dhyāyēdvidhīśanatapādayugāṃ janitrīm ॥
Second meditation verse (Dhyāna 2): One should meditate upon the Mother who wears golden silk (kauśeya), whose eyes are like lotus petals, whose four hands hold two lotuses, the gesture of fearlessness (abhaya), and the boon-granting gesture (vara); who blazes like a hundred rising suns; who rests in the supreme lap (of Viṣṇu); whose lotus feet are served by Brahmā and Indra — she who is the Mother of all.

पीतवस्त्रां सुवर्णाङ्गीं पद्महस्तद्वायान्विताम् ।
लक्ष्मीं ध्यात्वेति मन्त्रेण स भवेत्पृथिवीपतिः ॥
मातुलुङ्गं गदां खेटं पाणौ पात्रं च बिभ्रती ।
नागं लिङ्गं च योनिं च बिभ्रतीं चैव मूर्धनि ॥
pītavastrāṃ suvarṇāṅgīṃ padmahastadvāyānvitām ।
lakṣmīṃ dhyātvēti mantrēṇa sa bhavētpṛthivīpatiḥ ॥
mātuluṅgaṃ gadāṃ khēṭaṃ pāṇau pātraṃ cha bibhratī ।
nāgaṃ liṅgaṃ cha yōniṃ cha bibhratīṃ chaiva mūrdhani ॥
Third meditation verse (Dhyāna 3): One who meditates on Lakṣmī — clad in yellow, golden-bodied, with two lotus-bearing hands, and worships her with this mantra — becomes the lord of the earth. [Second form:] She holds the mātuluṅga fruit, a mace (gadā), a shield (kheṭa), and a vessel (pātra) in her hands — after meditating thus and performing mental worship with the sixteen services, one offers the prayer: "O Lakṣmī holding conch, discus, and mace, of white complexion, O auspicious married goddess — give me your boon, O bestower of all perfections."

Verse 8
इति ध्यात्वा मानसोपचारैः सम्पूज्य
शङ्खचक्रगदाहस्ते शुभ्रवर्णे सुवासिनी ।
मम देहि वरं लक्ष्मीः सर्वसिद्धिप्रदायिनी ।
इति सम्प्रार्थ्य ॐ श्रीं ह्रीं ऐं महालक्ष्म्यै कमलधारिण्यै सिंहवाहिन्यै स्वाहा इति मन्त्रं जप्त्वा पुनः पूर्ववद्धृदयादि षडङ्गन्यासं कृत्वा स्तोत्रं पठेत् । ]
iti dhyātvā mānasōpachāraiḥ sampūjya
śaṅkhachakragadāhastē śubhravarṇē suvāsinī ।
mama dēhi varaṃ lakṣmīḥ sarvasiddhipradāyinī ।
iti samprārthya ōṃ śrīṃ hrīṃ aiṃ mahālakṣmyai kamaladhāriṇyai siṃhavāhinyai svāhā iti mantraṃ japtvā punaḥ pūrvavaddhṛdayādi ṣaḍaṅganyāsaṃ kṛtvā stōtraṃ paṭhēt । ]
Having thus meditated and performed mental (mānasopacharaiḥ) worship with the sixteen services, one should pray: "O Lakṣmī holding conch, discus, and mace, of bright white complexion, O auspicious goddess — give me your boon; O bestower of all perfections." Having prayed thus, begin the recitation of Oṃ Śrīṃ Hrīṃ Śrīṃ Kamalālayē Prasīda Prasīda — O Lakṣmī dwelling in the lotus, be gracious, be gracious.

स्तोत्रम्
वन्दे लक्ष्मीं परमशिवमयीं शुद्धजाम्बूनदाभां
तेजोरूपां कनकवसनां सर्वभूषोज्ज्वलाङ्गीम् ।
बीजापूरं कनककलशं हेमपद्मं दधाना-
-माद्यां शक्तिं सकलजननीं विष्णुवामाङ्कसंस्थाम् ॥ 1 ॥

vandē lakṣmīṃ paramaśivamayīṃ śuddhajāmbūnadābhāṃ
tējōrūpāṃ kanakavasanāṃ sarvabhūṣōjjvalāṅgīm ।
bījāpūraṃ kanakakalaśaṃ hēmapadmaṃ dadhānā-
-mādyāṃ śaktiṃ sakalajananīṃ viṣṇuvāmāṅkasaṃsthām ॥ 1 ॥
[Stotram verse 1:] I worship Lakṣmī — supreme, filled with Śiva's auspiciousness, glowing like pure refined gold, the very form of divine radiance, clothed in golden garments, her limbs blazing with all ornaments; who holds the citron (bījāpūra), a golden pitcher (kanaka-kalaśa), a golden lotus (hēma-padma), and grants boons with the fourth hand; who is praised by Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva — I worship this eternal Mahālakṣmī. Verse 10
श्रीमत्सौभाग्यजननीं स्तौमि लक्ष्मीं सनातनीम् ।
सर्वकामफलावाप्तिसाधनैकसुखावहाम् ॥ 2 ॥
śrīmatsaubhāgyajananīṃ staumi lakṣmīṃ sanātanīm ।
sarvakāmaphalāvāptisādhanaikasukhāvahām ॥ 2 ॥
[Stotram verse 2:] I praise the eternal Lakṣmī, the Mother of all glorious fortune, the one who is the sole means (sādhana) for attaining all desired fruits, who brings supreme happiness to those who approach her.

स्मरामि नित्यं देवेशि त्वया प्रेरितमानसः ।
त्वदाज्ञां शिरसा धृत्वा भजामि परमेश्वरीम् ॥ 3 ॥
smarāmi nityaṃ dēvēśi tvayā prēritamānasaḥ ।
tvadājñāṃ śirasā dhṛtvā bhajāmi paramēśvarīm ॥ 3 ॥
[Stotram verse 3:] I remember you daily, O Queen of the Gods, my mind prompted by you alone. Bearing your command upon my head, I worship you, the Supreme Goddess.

समस्तसम्पत्सुखदां महाश्रियं
समस्तसौभाग्यकरीं महाश्रियम् ।
समस्तकल्याणकरीं महाश्रियं
भजाम्यहं ज्ञानकरीं महाश्रियम् ॥ 4 ॥
samastasampatsukhadāṃ mahāśriyaṃ
samastasaubhāgyakarīṃ mahāśriyam ।
samastakaḻyāṇakarīṃ mahāśriyaṃ
bhajāmyahaṃ jñānakarīṃ mahāśriyam ॥ 4 ॥
[Stotram verse 4:] I worship Mahāśrī who bestows the happiness of all wealth; I worship Mahāśrī who creates all good fortune; I worship Mahāśrī who brings about all auspiciousness; I worship Mahāśrī who grants the knowledge of all things.

विज्ञानसम्पत्सुखदां सनातनीं
विचित्रवाग्भूतिकरीं मनोहराम् ।
अनन्तसम्मोदसुखप्रदायिनीं
नमाम्यहं भूतिकरीं हरिप्रियाम् ॥ 5 ॥
vijñānasampatsukhadāṃ sanātanīṃ
vichitravāgbhūtikarīṃ manōharām ।
anantasammōdasukhapradāyinīṃ
namāmyahaṃ bhūtikarīṃ haripriyām ॥ 5 ॥
[Stotram verse 5:] I bow to the eternal one who bestows the happiness of the wealth of spiritual knowledge; who creates wonderful eloquence and prosperity; who is mind-captivating; who grants infinite, ever-refreshing happiness — I bow to the glory-giving beloved of Hari.

समस्तभूतान्तरसंस्थिता त्वं
समस्तभोक्त्रीश्वरि विश्वरूपे ।
तन्नास्ति यत्त्वद्व्यतिरिक्तवस्तु
त्वत्पादपद्मं प्रणमाम्यहं श्रीः ॥ 6 ॥
samastabhūtāntarasaṃsthitā tvaṃ
samastabhōktrīśvari viśvarūpē ।
tannāsti yattvadvyatiriktavastu
tvatpādapadmaṃ praṇamāmyahaṃ śrīḥ ॥ 6 ॥
[Stotram verse 6:] You dwell within all beings; you are the enjoyer and the governor of all, O goddess of universal form. There is nothing that exists apart from you. I bow to your lotus feet, O Śrī.

Verse 15
दारिद्र्य दुःखौघतमोपहन्त्री
त्वत्पादपद्मं मयि सन्निधत्स्व ।
दीनार्तिविच्छेदनहेतुभूतैः
कृपाकटाक्षैरभिषिञ्च मां श्रीः ॥ 7 ॥
dāridrya duḥkhaughatamōpahantrī
tvatpādapadmaṃ mayi sannidhatsva ।
dīnārtivichChēdanahētubhūtaiḥ
kṛpākaṭākṣairabhiṣiñcha māṃ śrīḥ ॥ 7 ॥
[Stotram verse 7:] You are the destroyer of the great dark flood of poverty-born suffering. Let your lotus feet abide in me. O Śrī — consecrate me with the glances of your grace, those glances which are the very cause of cutting the afflictions of the humble and poor.

अम्ब प्रसीद करुणासुधयार्द्रदृष्ट्या
मां त्वत्कृपाद्रविणगेहमिमं कुरुष्व ।
आलोकय प्रणतहृद्गतशोकहन्त्री
त्वत्पादपद्मयुगलं प्रणमाम्यहं श्रीः ॥ 8 ॥
amba prasīda karuṇāsudhayārdradṛṣṭyā
māṃ tvatkṛpādraviṇagēhamimaṃ kuruṣva ।
ālōkaya praṇatahṛdgataśōkahantrī
tvatpādapadmayugaḻaṃ praṇamāmyahaṃ śrīḥ ॥ 8 ॥
[Stotram verse 8:] O Mother, be gracious; with your compassion-nectar-moistened gaze, make this home of mine a treasury of your grace. Look upon me, O destroyer of the sorrow lodged in the hearts of those who bow to you — I bow to the pair of your lotus feet, O Śrī.

शान्त्यै नमोऽस्तु शरणागतरक्षणायै
कान्त्यै नमोऽस्तु कमनीयगुणाश्रयायै ।
क्षान्त्यै नमोऽस्तु दुरितक्षयकारणायै
दात्र्यै नमोऽस्तु धनधान्यसमृद्धिदायै ॥ 9 ॥
śāntyai namō'stu śaraṇāgatarakṣaṇāyai
kāntyai namō'stu kamanīyaguṇāśrayāyai ।
kṣāntyai namō'stu duritakṣayakāraṇāyai
dātryai namō'stu dhanadhānyasamṛddhidāyai ॥ 9 ॥
[Stotram verse 9 — the Namas:] Salutation to Śānti (Peace), the protector of those who seek refuge. Salutation to Kānti (Radiance), the abode of desirable qualities. Salutation to Kṣānti (Forbearance), the cause of the destruction of sins. Salutation to Dātṛ (the Giver), the bestower of wealth and grain in abundance.

शक्त्यै नमोऽस्तु शशिशेखरसंस्तुतायै
रत्यै नमोऽस्तु रजनीकरसोदरायै ।
भक्त्यै नमोऽस्तु भवसागरतारकायै
मत्यै नमोऽस्तु मधुसूदनवल्लभायै ॥ 10 ॥
śaktyai namō'stu śaśiśēkharasaṃstutāyai
ratyai namō'stu rajanīkarasōdarāyai ।
bhaktyai namō'stu bhavasāgaratārakāyai
matyai namō'stu madhusūdanavallabhāyai ॥ 10 ॥
[Stotram verse 10:] Salutation to Śakti (Power), praised by the crescent-moon-bearing Śiva. Salutation to Rati (Joy), the sister of the moon. Salutation to Bhakti (Devotion), the ferryman across the ocean of worldly existence. Salutation to Mati (Intellect), the beloved of Madhusūdana (Viṣṇu).

लक्ष्म्यै नमोऽस्तु शुभलक्षणलक्षितायै
सिद्ध्यै नमोऽस्तु शिवसिद्धसुपूजितायै ।
धृत्यै नमोऽस्त्वमितदुर्गतिभञ्जनायै
गत्यै नमोऽस्तु वरसद्गतिदायिकायै ॥ 11 ॥
lakṣmyai namō'stu śubhalakṣaṇalakṣitāyai
siddhyai namō'stu śivasiddhasupūjitāyai ।
dhṛtyai namō'stvamitadurgatibhañjanāyai
gatyai namō'stu varasadgatidāyikāyai ॥ 11 ॥
[Stotram verse 11:] Salutation to Lakṣmī, adorned with auspicious marks. Salutation to Siddhi (Accomplishment), well-worshipped by the Śiva-perfected ones. Salutation to Dhṛti (Courage), the destroyer of unlimited adversity. Salutation to Gati (the Path), the bestower of the excellent final destination.

देव्यै नमोऽस्तु दिवि देवगणार्चितायै
भूत्यै नमोऽस्तु भुवनार्तिविनाशनायै ।
धात्र्यै नमोऽस्तु धरणीधरवल्लभायै
पुष्ट्यै नमोऽस्तु पुरुषोत्तमवल्लभायै ॥ 12 ॥
dēvyai namō'stu divi dēvagaṇārchitāyai
bhūtyai namō'stu bhuvanārtivināśanāyai ।
dhātryai namō'stu dharaṇīdharavallabhāyai
puṣṭyai namō'stu puruṣōttamavallabhāyai ॥ 12 ॥
[Stotram verse 12:] Salutation to Dēvī, worshipped by the assembled gods in heaven. Salutation to Bhūti (Prosperity), the destroyer of the suffering of all worlds. Salutation to Dhātṛ (the Sustainer), the beloved of the earth-bearer (Viṣṇu). Salutation to Puṣṭi (Nourishment), the beloved of Puruṣōttama (the Supreme Person).

सुतीव्रदारिद्र्यविदुःखहन्त्र्यै
नमोऽस्तु ते सर्वभयापहन्त्र्यै ।
श्रीविष्णुवक्षःस्थलसंस्थितायै
नमो नमः सर्वविभूतिदायै ॥ 13 ॥
sutīvradāridryaviduḥkhahantryai
namō'stu tē sarvabhayāpahantryai ।
śrīviṣṇuvakṣaḥsthalasaṃsthitāyai
namō namaḥ sarvavibhūtidāyai ॥ 13 ॥
[Stotram verse 13:] Salutation, salutation to you, O destroyer of the anguish of fierce poverty; O destroyer of all fears; O you who are seated on the chest of Śrī Viṣṇu — salutation, salutation to the bestower of all splendour and glory.

जयतु जयतु सम्यक्सर्वसम्पत्करी श्रीः ॥ 14 ॥
jayatu jayatu lakṣmīrlakṣaṇālaṅkṛtāṅgī
jayatu jayatu padmā padmasadmābhivandyā ।
jayatu jayatu vidyā viṣṇuvāmāṅkasaṃsthā
jayatu jayatu samyaksarvasampatkarī śrīḥ ॥ 14 ॥
[Stotram verse 14 — the Jaya (Victory) verses:] Victory, victory to Lakṣmī, whose limbs are adorned with the marks of all auspiciousness! Victory, victory to Padmā, honoured by the dwellers of the lotus-house (Brahmā)! Victory, victory to Vidyā, seated at the left side of Viṣṇu! Victory, victory to her who is filled with all wealth and prosperity at all times!

जयतु जयतु देवी देवसङ्घाभिपूज्या
जयतु जयतु भद्रा भार्गवी भाग्यरूपा ।
जयतु जयतु नित्या निर्मलज्ञानवेद्या
जयतु जयतु सत्या सर्वभूतान्तरस्था ॥ 15 ॥
jayatu jayatu dēvī dēvasaṅghābhipūjyā
jayatu jayatu bhadrā bhārgavī bhāgyarūpā ।
jayatu jayatu nityā nirmalajñānavēdyā
jayatu jayatu satyā sarvabhūtāntarasthā ॥ 15 ॥
[Stotram verse 15:] Victory, victory to the Goddess, worshipped by the assembly of divine beings! Victory, victory to Bhadrā, Bhārgavī, the very form of good fortune! Victory, victory to the eternal one, known through pure knowledge! Victory, victory to the True one, the inner soul of all beings!

जयतु जयतु रम्या रत्नगर्भान्तरस्था
जयतु जयतु शुद्धा शुद्धजाम्बूनदाभा ।
जयतु जयतु कान्ता कान्तिमद्भासिताङ्गी
जयतु जयतु शान्ता शीघ्रमागच्छ सौम्ये ॥ 16 ॥
jayatu jayatu ramyā ratnagarbhāntarasthā
jayatu jayatu śuddhā śuddhajāmbūnadābhā ।
jayatu jayatu kāntā kāntimadbhāsitāṅgī
jayatu jayatu śāntā śīghramāgachCha saumyē ॥ 16 ॥
[Stotram verse 16:] Victory, victory to the beautiful one, dwelling within the gem-ocean! Victory, victory to the pure one, glowing like pure refined gold! Victory, victory to the radiant one, whose limbs blaze with luminosity! Victory, victory to the serene one — may she quickly come to me!

Verse 25
यस्याः कलायाः कमलोद्भवाद्या
रुद्राश्च शक्र प्रमुखाश्च देवाः ।
जीवन्ति सर्वेऽपि सशक्तयस्ते
प्रभुत्वमाप्ताः परमायुषस्ते ॥ 17 ॥
yasyāḥ kalāyāḥ kamalōdbhavādyā
rudrāścha śakra pramukhāścha dēvāḥ ।
jīvanti sarvē'pi saśaktayastē
prabhutvamāptāḥ paramāyuṣastē ॥ 17 ॥
[Stotram verse 17:] By whose kalā (divine portion) even Brahmā born from the lotus, Rudra, Indra, and all the foremost gods — along with their own powers (śaktis) — live, gain sovereignty, and attain the full span of life.

Verse 26
लिलेख निटिले विधिर्मम लिपिं विसृज्यान्तरं
त्वया विलिखितव्यमेतदिति तत्फलप्राप्तये ।
तदन्तरफलेस्फुटं कमलवासिनी श्रीरिमां
समर्पय समुद्रिकां सकलभाग्यसंसूचिकाम् ॥ 18 ॥
lilēkha niṭilē vidhirmama lipiṃ visṛjyāntaraṃ
tvayā vilikhitavyamētaditi tatphalaprāptayē ।
tadantaraphalēsphuṭaṃ kamalavāsinī śrīrimāṃ
samarpaya samudrikāṃ sakalabhāgyasaṃsūchikām ॥ 18 ॥
[Stotram verse 18:] Brahmā wrote my fate upon my forehead, leaving a gap in the middle [of what was written], saying: "This much [result] you must write [and fill]." For the attainment of that intermediate fruit, O Kamala-dweller, O Śrī — grant me that fruit; come forward smiling, O Ramā!

Verse 27
कलया ते यथा देवि जीवन्ति सचराचराः ।
तथा सम्पत्करे लक्ष्मि सर्वदा सम्प्रसीद मे ॥ 19 ॥
kalayā tē yathā dēvi jīvanti sacharācharāḥ ।
tathā sampatkarē lakṣmi sarvadā samprasīda mē ॥ 19 ॥
[Stotram verse 19:] Just as all moving and unmoving beings live by your kalā (divine portion), O Goddess — so too, O Lakṣmī whose hands hold all prosperity — may you always be gracious to me.

Verse 28
यथा विष्णुर्ध्रुवे नित्यं स्वकलां सन्न्यवेशयत् ।
तथैव स्वकलां लक्ष्मि मयि सम्यक् समर्पय ॥ 20 ॥
yathā viṣṇurdhruvē nityaṃ svakalāṃ sannyavēśayat ।
tathaiva svakalāṃ lakṣmi mayi samyak samarpaya ॥ 20 ॥
[Stotram verse 20:] Just as Viṣṇu permanently infused his own divine portion (kalā) into Dhruva, O Lakṣmī — so too, properly and completely infuse your own divine portion into me.

सर्वसौख्यप्रदे देवि भक्तानामभयप्रदे ।
अचलां कुरु यत्नेन कलां मयि निवेशिताम् ॥ 21 ॥
sarvasaukhyapradē dēvi bhaktānāmabhayapradē ।
achalāṃ kuru yatnēna kalāṃ mayi nivēśitām ॥ 21 ॥
[Stotram verse 21:] O bestower of all happiness, O granter of fearlessness to your devotees — with effort, make the kalā (divine portion) that has been placed in me steadfast and unwavering.

मुदास्तां मत्फाले परमपदलक्ष्मीः स्फुटकला
सदा वैकुण्ठश्रीर्निवसतु कला मे नयनयोः ।
वसेत्सत्ये लोके मम वचसि लक्ष्मीर्वरकला
श्रियः श्वेतद्वीपे निवसतु कला मे स्वकरयोः ॥ 22 ॥
mudāstāṃ matphālē paramapadalakṣmīḥ sphuṭakalā
sadā vaikuṇṭhaśrīrnivasatu kalā mē nayanayōḥ ।
vasētsatyē lōkē mama vachasi lakṣmīrvarakalā
śriyaḥ śvētadvīpē nivasatu kalā mē svakarayōḥ ॥ 22 ॥
[Stotram verse 22:] May the radiant kalā of Paramapada-Lakṣmī shine joyfully upon my forehead; may the kalā of Vaikuṇṭha-Śrī ever dwell in my eyes; may the excellent kalā of Lakṣmī abide in my speech in the Satya-loka; may the white-lotus-seated kalā of Śrī forever abide in me.

तावन्नित्यं ममाङ्गेषु क्षीराब्धौ श्रीकला वसेत् ।
सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ यावद्यावल्लक्ष्मीपतिः श्रियाः ॥ 23 ॥
tāvannityaṃ mamāṅgēṣu kṣīrābdhau śrīkalā vasēt ।
sūryāchandramasau yāvadyāvallakṣmīpatiḥ śriyāḥ ॥ 23 ॥
[Stotram verse 23:] For as long as the sun and moon exist, for as long as Viṣṇu and Lakṣmī herself exist — may the kalā of the Milk-Ocean Śrī dwell eternally in my limbs.

सर्वमङ्गलसम्पूर्णा सर्वैश्वर्यसमन्विता ।
आद्यादि श्रीर्महालक्ष्मी त्वत्कला मयि तिष्ठतु ॥ 24 ॥
sarvamaṅgaḻasampūrṇā sarvaiśvaryasamanvitā ।
ādyādi śrīrmahālakṣmī tvatkalā mayi tiṣṭhatu ॥ 24 ॥
[Stotram verse 24:] O Ādi Śrī Mahālakṣmī, you who are filled with all auspiciousness, endowed with all sovereignty — may your divine portion (kalā) stand firmly in me.

अज्ञानतिमिरं हन्तुं शुद्धज्ञानप्रकाशिका ।
सर्वैश्वर्यप्रदा मेऽस्तु त्वत्कला मयि संस्थिता ॥ 25 ॥
ajñānatimiraṃ hantuṃ śuddhajñānaprakāśikā ।
sarvaiśvaryapradā mē'stu tvatkalā mayi saṃsthitā ॥ 25 ॥
[Stotram verse 25:] To destroy the darkness of ignorance, shining as the illuminator of pure knowledge, bestowing all sovereignty — may your kalā, installed in me, be so for me.

अलक्ष्मीं हरतु क्षिप्रं तमः सूर्यप्रभा यथा ।
वितनोतु मम श्रेयस्त्वत्कला मयि संस्थिता ॥ 26 ॥
alakṣmīṃ haratu kṣipraṃ tamaḥ sūryaprabhā yathā ।
vitanōtu mama śrēyastvatkaḻā mayi saṃsthitā ॥ 26 ॥
[Stotram verse 26:] Just as the sun's radiance swiftly dispels darkness, may your kalā installed in me swiftly remove misfortune (alakṣmī) and spread my well-being.

ऐश्वर्यमङ्गलोत्पत्तिस्त्वत्कलायां निधीयते ।
मयि तस्मात्कृतार्थोऽस्मि पात्रमस्मि स्थितेस्तव ॥ 27 ॥
aiśvaryamaṅgaḻōtpattistvatkalāyāṃ nidhīyatē ।
mayi tasmātkṛtārthō'smi pātramasmi sthitēstava ॥ 27 ॥
[Stotram verse 27:] The arising of sovereignty and auspiciousness is stored in your kalā. Therefore I am fulfilled; I am worthy of your abiding presence, O Lakṣmī.

Verse 36
भवदावेशभाग्यार्हो भाग्यवानस्मि भार्गवि ।
त्वत्प्रसादात्पवित्रोऽहं लोकमातर्नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ 28 ॥
bhavadāvēśabhāgyārhō bhāgyavānasmi bhārgavi ।
tvatprasādātpavitrō'haṃ lōkamātarnamō'stu tē ॥ 28 ॥
[Stotram verse 28:] I am blessed to be worthy of receiving your descent (bhavadāvēśa), O Bhārgavī. By your grace I am purified, O World-Mother — salutation to you.

Verse 37
पुनासि मां त्वत्कलयैव यस्मा-
-दतः समागच्छ ममाग्रतस्त्वम् ।
परं पदं श्रीर्भव सुप्रसन्ना
मय्यच्युतेन प्रविशादिलक्ष्मीः ॥ 29 ॥
punāsi māṃ tvatkalayaiva yasmā-
-dataḥ samāgachCha mamāgratastvam ।
paraṃ padaṃ śrīrbhava suprasannā
mayyachyutēna praviśādilakṣmīḥ ॥ 29 ॥
[Stotram verse 29:] Since you purify me by your own kalā, come before me. O Śrī, O Ādi-Lakṣmī — be supremely gracious; enter into me together with Achyuta (Viṣṇu) as the Supreme State.

श्रीवैकुण्ठस्थिते लक्ष्मि समागच्छ ममाग्रतः ।
नारायणेन सह मां कृपादृष्ट्याऽवलोकय ॥ 30 ॥
śrīvaikuṇṭhasthitē lakṣmi samāgachCha mamāgrataḥ ।
nārāyaṇēna saha māṃ kṛpādṛṣṭyā'valōkaya ॥ 30 ॥
[Stotram verse 30:] O Lakṣmī dwelling in Śrī Vaikuṇṭha — come before me; look upon me who bow to you, with Nārāyaṇa, with your compassionate gaze.

सत्यलोकस्थिते लक्ष्मि त्वं ममागच्छ सन्निधिम् ।
वासुदेवेन सहिता प्रसीद वरदा भव ॥ 31 ॥
satyalōkasthitē lakṣmi tvaṃ mamāgachCha sannidhim ।
vāsudēvēna sahitā prasīda varadā bhava ॥ 31 ॥
[Stotram verse 31:] O Lakṣmī dwelling in Satya-loka — come near me; together with Vāsudeva, be gracious to me; be a bestower of boons.

श्वेतद्वीपस्थिते लक्ष्मि शीघ्रमागच्छ सुव्रते ।
विष्णुना सहिते देवि जगन्मातः प्रसीद मे ॥ 32 ॥
śvētadvīpasthitē lakṣmi śīghramāgachCha suvratē ।
viṣṇunā sahitē dēvi jaganmātaḥ prasīda mē ॥ 32 ॥
[Stotram verse 32:] O Lakṣmī dwelling on the White Island (Śvētadvīpa), come quickly, O faithful one; O Goddess, together with Viṣṇu — O mother of all worlds, be gracious to me.

क्षीराम्बुधिस्थिते लक्ष्मि समागच्छ समाधवा ।
त्वत्कृपादृष्टिसुधया सततं मां विलोकय ॥ 33 ॥
kṣīrāmbudhisthitē lakṣmi samāgachCha samādhavā ।
tvatkṛpādṛṣṭisudhayā satataṃ māṃ vilōkaya ॥ 33 ॥
[Stotram verse 33:] O Lakṣmī dwelling in the Milk-Ocean — together with Mādhava, come; by the nectar of your compassionate gaze, look upon me always.

रत्नगर्भस्थिते लक्ष्मि परिपूर्णे हिरण्मये ।
समागच्छ समागच्छ स्थित्वाऽऽशु पुरतो मम ॥ 34 ॥
ratnagarbhasthitē lakṣmi paripūrṇē hiraṇmayē ।
samāgachCha samāgachCha sthitvā''śu puratō mama ॥ 34 ॥
[Stotram verse 34:] O Lakṣmī dwelling in the gem-womb (ratnagarbha), full and golden — come, come! Stand before me at once.

स्थिरा भव महालक्ष्मि निश्चला भव निर्मले ।
प्रसन्ने कमले देवि प्रसन्नहृदया भव ॥ 35 ॥
sthirā bhava mahālakṣmi niśchalā bhava nirmalē ।
prasannē kamalē dēvi prasannahṛdayā bhava ॥ 35 ॥
[Stotram verse 35:] O Mahālakṣmī, become steadfast; become immovable, O immaculate one; O gracious lotus-goddess — become settled here with a cheerful heart; be gracious.

श्रीधरे श्रीमहाभूते त्वदन्तःस्थं महानिधिम् ।
शीघ्रमुद्धृत्य पुरतः प्रदर्शय समर्पय ॥ 36 ॥
śrīdharē śrīmahābhūtē tvadantaḥsthaṃ mahānidhim ।
śīghramuddhṛtya purataḥ pradarśaya samarpaya ॥ 36 ॥
[Stotram verse 36:] O Śrīdharā (bearer of Śrī), O great Being of glory — quickly draw out and show me the great treasure that is hidden within you.

वसुन्धरे श्रीवसुधे वसुदोग्ध्रि कृपामये ।
त्वत्कुक्षिगतसर्वस्वं शीघ्रं मे सम्प्रदर्शय ॥ 37 ॥
vasundharē śrīvasudhē vasudōgdhri kṛpāmayē ।
tvatkukṣigatasarvasvaṃ śīghraṃ mē sampradarśaya ॥ 37 ॥
[Stotram verse 37:] O Vasundharā, O Śrī Vasudhā, O compassionate giver of wealth, quickly show and reveal to me all the riches that are within your womb.

विष्णुप्रिये रत्नगर्भे समस्तफलदे शिवे ।
त्वद्गर्भगतहेमादीन् सम्प्रदर्शय दर्शय ॥ 38 ॥
viṣṇupriyē ratnagarbhē samastaphaladē śivē ।
tvadgarbhagatahēmādīn sampradarśaya darśaya ॥ 38 ॥
[Stotram verse 38:] O beloved of Viṣṇu, O gem-wombed one, O bestower of all fruits, O auspicious one — show me, show me the gold and other riches within your womb.

रसातलगते लक्ष्मि शीघ्रमागच्छ मे पुरः ।
न जाने परमं रूपं मातर्मे सम्प्रदर्शय ॥ 39 ॥
rasātalagatē lakṣmi śīghramāgachCha mē puraḥ ।
na jānē paramaṃ rūpaṃ mātarmē sampradarśaya ॥ 39 ॥
[Stotram verse 39:] O Lakṣmī who has gone to the netherworld (rasātala) — come before me quickly. I do not know your supreme form, O Mother — show it to me.

आविर्भव मनोवेगाच्छीघ्रमागच्छ मे पुरः ।
मा वत्स भैरिहेत्युक्त्वा कामं गौरिव रक्ष माम् ॥ 40 ॥
āvirbhava manōvēgāchChīghramāgachCha mē puraḥ ।
mā vatsa bhairihētyuktvā kāmaṃ gauriva rakṣa mām ॥ 40 ॥
[Stotram verse 40:] Appear at the speed of thought; come before me quickly. Having said "Do not fear, my child, I am here" — protect me as a cow protects its calf.

देवि शीघ्रं समागच्छ धरणीगर्भसंस्थिते ।
मातस्त्वद्भृत्यभृत्योऽहं मृगये त्वां कुतूहलात् ॥ 41 ॥
dēvi śīghraṃ samāgachCha dharaṇīgarbhasaṃsthitē ।
mātastvadbhṛtyabhṛtyō'haṃ mṛgayē tvāṃ kutūhalāt ॥ 41 ॥
[Stotram verse 41:] O Goddess dwelling in the womb of the earth — come to me quickly. O Mother, I, your servant's servant, seek you with great longing.

उत्तिष्ठ जागृहि त्वं मे समुत्तिष्ठ सुजागृहि ।
अक्षयान् हेमकलशान् सुवर्णेन सुपूरितान् ॥ 42 ॥
uttiṣṭha jāgṛhi tvaṃ mē samuttiṣṭha sujāgṛhi ।
akṣayān hēmakalaśān suvarṇēna supūritān ॥ 42 ॥
[Stotram verse 42:] Arise! Awake for me! Arise fully, O fully awakened one — [rise with] inexhaustible golden pots filled to the brim with gold.

निक्षेपान्मे समाकृष्य समुद्धृत्य ममाग्रतः ।
समुन्नतानना भूत्वा समाधेहि धरान्तरात् ॥ 43 ॥
nikṣēpānmē samākṛṣya samuddhṛtya mamāgrataḥ ।
samunnatānanā bhūtvā samādhēhi dharāntarāt ॥ 43 ॥
[Stotram verse 43:] Having drawn out the treasures deposited within and lifted them up, place them before me with your face raised high [in joy].

मत्सन्निधिं समागच्छ मदाहितकृपारसात् ।
प्रसीद श्रेयसां दोग्ध्री लक्ष्मीर्मे नयनाग्रतः ॥ 44 ॥
matsannidhiṃ samāgachCha madāhitakṛpārasāt ।
prasīda śrēyasāṃ dōgdhrī lakṣmīrmē nayanāgrataḥ ॥ 44 ॥
[Stotram verse 44:] Come to my presence from the kindness you have placed in me. O bestower of all good things, O Lakṣmī — appear before my eyes.

अत्रोपविश लक्ष्मि त्वं स्थिरा भव हिरण्मये ।
सुस्थिरा भव सम्प्रीत्या प्रसीद वरदा भव ॥ 45 ॥
atrōpaviśa lakṣmi tvaṃ sthirā bhava hiraṇmayē ।
susthirā bhava samprītyā prasīda varadā bhava ॥ 45 ॥
[Stotram verse 45:] Sit here, O Lakṣmī; be stable in your golden form; be firmly established with love; O giver of boons — be gracious.

आनीतांस्तु तथा देवि निधीन्मे सम्प्रदर्शय ।
अद्य क्षणेन सहसा दत्त्वा संरक्ष मां सदा ॥ 46 ॥
ānītāṃstu tathā dēvi nidhīnmē sampradarśaya ।
adya kṣaṇēna sahasā dattvā saṃrakṣa māṃ sadā ॥ 46 ॥
[Stotram verse 46:] O Goddess, show me the treasures thus brought; at this very moment, swiftly give them and protect me always.

मयि तिष्ठ तथा नित्यं यथेन्द्रादिषु तिष्ठसि ।
अभयं कुरु मे देवि महालक्ष्मीर्नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ 47 ॥
mayi tiṣṭha tathā nityaṃ yathēndrādiṣu tiṣṭhasi ।
abhayaṃ kuru mē dēvi mahālakṣmīrnamō'stu tē ॥ 47 ॥
[Stotram verse 47:] Dwell in me always just as you dwell in Indra and other gods. Grant me fearlessness, O Goddess — O Mahālakṣmī, salutation to you.

समागच्छ महालक्ष्मि शुद्धजाम्बूनदप्रभे ।
प्रसीद पुरतः स्थित्वा प्रणतं मां विलोकय ॥ 48 ॥
samāgachCha mahālakṣmi śuddhajāmbūnadaprabhē ।
prasīda purataḥ sthitvā praṇataṃ māṃ vilōkaya ॥ 48 ॥
[Stotram verse 48:] Come, O Mahālakṣmī, shining like pure refined gold; be gracious; standing before me, behold me who bow to you.

लक्ष्मीर्भुवं गता भासि यत्र यत्र हिरण्मयी ।
तत्र तत्र स्थिता त्वं मे तव रूपं प्रदर्शय ॥ 49 ॥
lakṣmīrbhuvaṃ gatā bhāsi yatra yatra hiraṇmayī ।
tatra tatra sthitā tvaṃ mē tava rūpaṃ pradarśaya ॥ 49 ॥
[Stotram verse 49:] O Lakṣmī, wherever you have gone across the earth, shining golden — wherever you have thus settled, show me your form there.

क्रीडन्ती बहुधा भूमौ परिपूर्णकृपामयि ।
मम मूर्धनि ते हस्तमविलम्बितमर्पय ॥ 50 ॥
krīḍantī bahudhā bhūmau paripūrṇakṛpāmayi ।
mama mūrdhani tē hastamavilambitamarpaya ॥ 50 ॥
[Stotram verse 50:] O you who play in many ways on earth, full of overflowing compassion — place your hand without delay upon my head.

फलद्भाग्योदये लक्ष्मि समस्तपुरवासिनी ।
प्रसीद मे महालक्ष्मि परिपूर्णमनोरथे ॥ 51 ॥
phaladbhāgyōdayē lakṣmi samastapuravāsinī ।
prasīda mē mahālakṣmi paripūrṇamanōrathē ॥ 51 ॥
[Stotram verse 51:] O Lakṣmī whose fortune is ripening to fruition, who dwells in all cities — be gracious to me, O Mahālakṣmī; fulfil all my heart's desires.

अयोध्यादिषु सर्वेषु नगरेषु समास्थिते ।
वैभवैर्विविधैर्युक्तैः समागच्छ मुदान्विते ॥ 52 ॥
ayōdhyādiṣu sarvēṣu nagarēṣu samāsthitē ।
vaibhavairvividhairyuktaiḥ samāgachCha mudānvitē ॥ 52 ॥
[Stotram verse 52:] In Ayōdhyā and all other cities — adorned with various abundant splendours — come with joy, O Lakṣmī.

समागच्छ समागच्छ ममाग्रे भव सुस्थिरा ।
करुणारसनिष्यन्दनेत्रद्वय विलासिनी ॥ 53 ॥ [निष्पन्न]
samāgachCha samāgachCha mamāgrē bhava susthirā ।
karuṇārasaniṣyandanētradvaya vilāsinī ॥ 53 ॥ [niṣpanna]
[Stotram verse 53:] Come, come again and again; stand firmly before me; O you who play with eyes overflowing with nectar-compassion — be near me.

सन्निधत्स्व महालक्ष्मि त्वत्पाणिं मम मस्तके ।

sannidhatsva mahālakṣmi tvatpāṇiṃ mama mastakē ।
karuṇāsudhayā māṃ tvamabhiṣiñchya sthiraṃ kuru ॥ 54 ॥
[Stotram verse 54:] Be near me, O Mahālakṣmī; place your hand upon my head; having consecrated me with the nectar of your compassion, make me steadfast.

[Stotram verse 58:] Be gracious to me, O Mahālakṣmī; be supremely gracious, O great Śivā; become immovable with love; become firmly stable in my home.

[Stotram verse 59:] For as long as the Vedas exist, as long as the sun and moon, as long as Viṣṇu exists, and as long as you yourself exist — show compassion to me for all that time.

[Stotram verse 60:] Just as the moon's disc waxes day by day in the bright fortnight, may your compassion towards me likewise wax and grow and grow ever more.

[Stotram verse 61:] Just as you dwell in the city of Vaikuṇṭha and in the Milk-Ocean — dwell steadily in my home too, together with Śrī Viṣṇu.

nārāyaṇasya hṛdayē bhavatī yathāstē
nārāyaṇō'pi tava hṛtkamalē yathāstē ।
nārāyaṇastvamapi nityamubhau tathaiva
tau tiṣṭhatāṃ hṛdi mamāpi dayānvitau śrīḥ ॥ 63 ॥
[Stotram verse 63:] Just as you dwell in Nārāyaṇa's heart and Nārāyaṇa dwells in your lotus-heart, just as you and Nārāyaṇa are thus eternally and equally [united] — may both of you dwell with compassion in my heart also, O Śrī.

विज्ञानवृद्धिं हृदये कुरु श्रीः

suvarṇavṛddhiṃ kuru mē gṛhē śrīḥ ॥ 64 ॥
[Stotram verse 64:] O Śrī — increase wisdom in my heart! O Śrī — increase auspiciousness in my home! O Śrī — let compassion increase in me! O Śrī — increase gold in my home!

[Stotram verse 65:] Do not abandon me, O divine vine/wish-fulfilling tree, O wish-gem among devotees, O wish-cow! Be gracious to me, O Mother of all worlds — in my family, my spouse, and my children.

ādyādimāyē tvamajāṇḍabījaṃ
tvamēva sākāranirākṛtistvam ।

-śchitraṃ charitraṃ tava dēvi viṣṇōḥ ॥ 66 ॥
[Stotram verse 66:] O Ādi Māyā — you are the seed of the unmanifest egg of creation; you are both with form and without form; held by you are all the universe-eggs born from Brahmā; wonderful is your divine play, O Goddess — and that of Viṣṇu.

ब्रह्मरुद्रादयो देवा वेदाश्चापि न शक्नुयुः ।

mahimānaṃ tava stōtuṃ mandō'haṃ śaknuyāṃ katham ॥ 67 ॥
[Stotram verse 67:] Even Brahmā, Rudra, and the other gods — even the Vedas themselves — are not capable of praising your greatness. How then can this dull-witted one [like me] be capable?

tāni svīkuru sarvajñē dayālutvēna sādaram ॥ 68 ॥
[Stotram verse 68:] O Mother, whatever words I have spoken to you — whether appropriate or inappropriate — accept all of them with kindness, O all-knowing one.

[Stotram verse 69:] Thinking thus — that ancient ones who took refuge in you were fulfilled — with that thought in my mind, I take refuge in you.

[Stotram verse 70:] By Vedic authority, your devotees — who are devoted to you as the highest — are endless and eternally happy. O Goddess, with this certainty, I take refuge in you.

iti sañchintya sañchintya prāṇān sandhārayāmyaham ॥ 71 ॥
[Stotram verse 71:] Your pledge — that "my devotees shall never perish anywhere" — thinking and thinking upon this again and again, I sustain my life.

त्वदधीनस्त्वहं मातस्त्वत्कृपा मयि विद्यते ।

yāvatsampūrṇakāmaḥ syāttāvaddēhi dayānidhē ॥ 72 ॥
[Stotram verse 72:] I am under your authority, O Mother; your grace rests upon me. For as long as [I am] completely fulfilled [by your grace], that long grant [me your favour], O treasure-house of compassion.

क्षणमात्रं न शक्नोमि जीवितुं त्वत्कृपां विना ।

na jīvantīha jalajā jalaṃ tyaktvā jalagrahāḥ ॥ 73 ॥
[Stotram verse 73:] For even a moment I cannot live without your grace — just as aquatic creatures that live in water cannot survive when water is left behind.

pāṃsūnāṃ vṛṣṭibindūnāṃ dōṣāṇāṃ cha na mē matiḥ ॥ 76 ॥
[Stotram verse 76:] Not even a trace of virtue is to be found in me — I am the sole home of faults. I have no sense of how many grains of dust, drops of rain, or sins I have accumulated.

dayanīyō madanyō'sti tava kō'tra jagattrayē ॥ 77 ॥
[Stotram verse 77:] I am the foremost among sinners; you are the foremost among the compassionate. Who else in all three worlds is more worthy of your compassion than me?

āmayō vā na sṛṣṭaśchēdauṣadhasya vṛthōdayaḥ ॥ 78 ॥
[Stotram verse 78:] If I had not been created by Brahmā, your compassion would have no proper object; just as if disease had not been created, the physician's medicine would arise in vain.

[Stotram verse 79:] Which was born first — your compassion or I? Which is the elder of the two — think this over, and give me wealth, O Goddess, O treasure-house of compassion.

[Stotram verse 80:] You are my mother, my father, my teacher, my good path (Śrī); you alone are the cause of my life's restoration. O sole Lord of all worlds — I acknowledge no other; you alone are everything to me, O Goddess, in truth.

[Stotram verse 82:] O you who remove all the impurity of speechlessness and dullness, O bestower of fresh, clear, new speech — dance on the tip of my tongue like a divine dancer; O Śrī, be gracious in my face.

[Stotram verse 84:] O revealer of all things, O giver of all purposes, O bestower of radiant beauty, grace, and compassion, O golden one — be gracious in my eyes, O Śrī.

[Stotram verse 88:] O compassionate one who responds to the humble — "Do not fear, dear child; the hand of fearlessness is placed upon your head — this is mine [my pledge]" — O Mother, thus offering your compassionate grace-glance joyfully, create the seed of all auspiciousness in us; create our birth-day.

कटाक्ष इह कामधुक्तव मनस्तु चिन्तामणिः
करः सुरतरुः सदा नवनिधिस्त्वमेवेन्दिरे ।

मुखं तव कलानिधिर्विविधवाञ्छितार्थप्रदम् ॥ 89 ॥
kaṭākṣa iha kāmadhuktava manastu chintāmaṇiḥ
karaḥ surataruḥ sadā navanidhistvamēvēndirē ।
bhavē tava dayārasō mama rasāyanaṃ chānvahaṃ
mukhaṃ tava kalānidhirvividhavāñChitārthapradam ॥ 89 ॥
[Stotram verse 89:] O Indirā — your grace-glance here is the wish-fulfilling cow; your mind is the wish-gem; your hand is the wish-tree; you yourself are the nine treasures. May the nectar of your grace be my daily elixir. May your face be the moon-lamp that illumines my days.

कटाक्षसंस्पर्शनतो जनाना-
-ममङ्गलानामपि मङ्गलत्वम् ॥ 90 ॥
yathā rasasparśanatō'yasō'pi
suvarṇatā syātkamalē tathā tē ।
kaṭākṣasaṃsparśanatō janānā-
-mamaṅgaḻānāmapi maṅgaḻatvam ॥ 90 ॥
[Stotram verse 90:] Just as iron becomes gold by contact with the philosopher's stone, O Kamalā — similarly, even the inauspicious become auspicious by contact with your grace-glance.

देहीति नास्तीति वचः प्रवेशा-
-द्भीतो रमे त्वां शरणं प्रपद्ये ।
अतः सदाऽस्मिन्नभयप्रदा त्वं

dēhīti nāstīti vachaḥ pravēśā-
-dbhītō ramē tvāṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadyē ।
ataḥ sadā'sminnabhayapradā tvaṃ
sahaiva patyā mayi sannidhēhi ॥ 91 ॥
[Stotram verse 91:] Afraid of [hearing] the word "there is nothing [I can give]" — I, frightened of "no," take refuge in you, O Ramē. Therefore always be close to me with your Lord, as the granter of fearlessness here.

कल्पद्रुमेण मणिना सहिता सुरम्या
श्रीस्ते कला मयि रसेन रसायनेन ।
आस्तां यतो मम शिरःकरदृष्टिपाद-
-स्पृष्टाः सुवर्णवपुषः स्थिरजङ्गमाः स्युः ॥ 92 ॥
kalpadrumēṇa maṇinā sahitā suramyā
śrīstē kalā mayi rasēna rasāyanēna ।
āstāṃ yatō mama śiraḥkaradṛṣṭipāda-
-spṛṣṭāḥ suvarṇavapuṣaḥ sthirajaṅgamāḥ syuḥ ॥ 92 ॥
[Stotram verse 92:] May your lovely divine portion, together with the wish-tree and the wish-gem, act as an elixir (rasāyana) in me — so that whatever my head, hands, eyes, and feet touch may become golden in form, whether moving or stationary.

आद्यादिविष्णोः स्थिरधर्मपत्नी
त्वमेव पत्या मयि सन्निधेहि ।
आद्यादिलक्ष्मि त्वदनुग्रहेण

ādyādiviṣṇōḥ sthiradharmapatnī
tvamēva patyā mayi sannidhēhi ।
ādyādilakṣmi tvadanugrahēṇa
padē padē mē nidhidarśanaṃ syāt ॥ 93 ॥
[Stotram verse 93:] O steadfast righteous wife of Ādi-Viṣṇu — together with your Lord, come to me. O Ādi-Lakṣmī — by your grace, may treasure appear at my every step.

Verse 102
आद्यादिलक्ष्मीहृदयं पठेद्यः
स राज्यलक्ष्मीमचलां तनोति ।
महादरिद्रोऽपि भवेद्धनाढ्य-
-स्तदन्वये श्रीः स्थिरतां प्रयाति ॥ 94 ॥
ādyādilakṣmīhṛdayaṃ paṭhēdyaḥ
sa rājyalakṣmīmachalāṃ tanōti ।
mahādaridrō'pi bhavēddhanāḍhya-
-stadanvayē śrīḥ sthiratāṃ prayāti ॥ 94 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 94:] Whoever reads this Ādi-Lakṣmī Hṛdaya will attain steady royal fortune (rājya-lakṣmī). Even the very poor will become wealthy, and in their lineage Śrī will become permanently established.

यस्य स्मरणमात्रेण तुष्टा स्याद्विष्णुवल्लभा ।
तस्याभीष्टं ददत्याशु तं पालयति पुत्रवत् ॥ 95 ॥
yasya smaraṇamātrēṇa tuṣṭā syādviṣṇuvallabhā ।
tasyābhīṣṭaṃ dadatyāśu taṃ pālayati putravat ॥ 95 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 95:] By whose mere remembrance the beloved of Viṣṇu (Lakṣmī) becomes pleased and quickly grants the devotee's desires, protecting them as a mother protects a son.

Verse 104
इदं रहस्यं हृदयं सर्वकामफलप्रदम् ।
जपः पञ्चसहस्रं तु पुरश्चरणमुच्यते ॥ 96 ॥
idaṃ rahasyaṃ hṛdayaṃ sarvakāmaphalapradam ।
japaḥ pañchasahasraṃ tu puraścharaṇamuchyatē ॥ 96 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 96:] This Hṛdaya (Heart stotram) is a secret, the granter of all desired fruits. A recitation of five thousand times constitutes the puraścharaṇa (pre-initiation rite).

त्रिकालमेककालं वा नरो भक्तिसमन्वितः ।
यः पठेच्छृणुयाद्वापि स याति परमां श्रियम् ॥ 97 ॥
trikālamēkakālaṃ vā narō bhaktisamanvitaḥ ।
yaḥ paṭhēchChṛṇuyādvāpi sa yāti paramāṃ śriyam ॥ 97 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 97:] Whoever reads this with devotion three times daily, or even once daily — will attain the supreme Śrī (the highest prosperity and grace).

महालक्ष्मीं समुद्दिश्य निशि भार्गववासरे ।
इदं श्रीहृदयं जप्त्वा पञ्चवारं धनी भवेत् ॥ 98 ॥
mahālakṣmīṃ samuddiśya niśi bhārgavavāsarē ।
idaṃ śrīhṛdayaṃ japtvā pañchavāraṃ dhanī bhavēt ॥ 98 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 98:] Reciting this Śrī-Hṛdaya five times, addressing Mahālakṣmī, on a Friday night — one will become wealthy.

Verse 107
अनेन हृदयेनान्नं गर्भिण्या अभिमन्त्रितम् ।
ददाति तत्कुले पुत्रो जायते श्रीपतिः स्वयम् ॥ 99 ॥
anēna hṛdayēnānnaṃ garbhiṇyā abhimantritam ।
dadāti tatkulē putrō jāyatē śrīpatiḥ svayam ॥ 99 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 99:] Food consecrated by this Hṛdaya and given to a pregnant woman — in her lineage a son will be born who is Viṣṇu himself.

नरेण वाऽथवा नार्या लक्ष्मीहृदयमन्त्रिते ।
जले पीते च तद्वंशे मन्दभाग्यो न जायते ॥ 100 ॥
narēṇa vā'thavā nāryā lakṣmīhṛdayamantritē ।
jalē pītē cha tadvaṃśē mandabhāgyō na jāyatē ॥ 100 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 100:] In the lineage of a man or woman who drinks water that has been consecrated by this Lakṣmī Hṛdaya mantra — no one of little fortune (mandabhāgya) will ever be born.

य आश्विने मासि च शुक्लपक्षे
रमोत्सवे सन्निहिते सुभक्त्या ।
पठेत्तथैकोत्तरवारवृद्ध्या

ya āśvinē māsi cha śuklapakṣē
ramōtsavē sannihitē subhaktyā ।
paṭhēttathaikōttaravāravṛddhyā
labhētsa sauvarṇamayīṃ suvṛṣṭim ॥ 101 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 101:] Whoever reads this stotram in the month of Āśvina (October), in the bright fortnight, at the Ramā festival (Dīpāvali), with sincere devotion — reading with one additional recitation each [day] — will attain a golden rain.

य एकभक्तोऽन्वहमेकवर्षं
विशुद्धधीः सप्ततिवारजापी ।
स मन्दभाग्योऽपि रमाकटाक्षा-

ya ēkabhaktō'nvahamēkavarṣaṃ
viśuddhadhīḥ saptativārajāpī ।
sa mandabhāgyō'pi ramākaṭākṣā-
-dbhavētsahasrākṣaśatādhikaśrīḥ ॥ 102 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 102:] Whoever for a full year, eating once daily (ēkabhakta), with a purified mind, recites this seventy times daily — even if of little fortune, will attain by Ramā's grace-glance a prosperity exceeding a hundred times that of Indra.

श्रीशाङ्घ्रिभक्तिं हरिदासदास्यं
प्रसन्नमन्त्रार्थदृढैकनिष्ठाम् ।
गुरोः स्मृतिं निर्मलबोधबुद्धिं
प्रदेहि मातः परमं पदं श्रीः ॥ 103 ॥
śrīśāṅghribhaktiṃ haridāsadāsyaṃ
prasannamantrārthadṛḍhaikaniṣṭhām ।
gurōḥ smṛtiṃ nirmalabōdhabuddhiṃ
pradēhi mātaḥ paramaṃ padaṃ śrīḥ ॥ 103 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 103:] O Mother, O Śrī — grant me devotion to Śrī Viṣṇu's feet, servitude to his devotees' servants, firm single-minded dedication to the mantra's meaning, constant remembrance of the guru, the wisdom of a pure, clear intellect, and the supreme state (mōkṣa).

पृथ्वीपतित्वं पुरुषोत्तमत्वं
विभूतिवासं विविधार्थसिद्धिम् ।
सम्पूर्णकीर्तिं बहुवर्षभोगं
प्रदेहि मे लक्ष्मि पुनः पुनस्त्वम् ॥ 104 ॥
pṛthvīpatitvaṃ puruṣōttamatvaṃ
vibhūtivāsaṃ vividhārthasiddhim ।
sampūrṇakīrtiṃ bahuvarṣabhōgaṃ
pradēhi mē lakṣmi punaḥ punastvam ॥ 104 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 104:] O Lakṣmī — again and again, grant me: sovereignty over the earth, supreme excellence, dwelling in glory, attainment of various purposes, complete fame, and many years of enjoyment.

वादार्थसिद्धिं बहुलोकवश्यं
वयः स्थिरत्वं ललनासुभोगम् ।
पौत्रादिलब्धिं सकलार्थसिद्धिं

vādārthasiddhiṃ bahulōkavaśyaṃ
vayaḥ sthiratvaṃ lalanāsubhōgam ।
pautrādilabdhiṃ sakalārthasiddhiṃ
pradēhi mē bhārgavi janmajanmani ॥ 105 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 105:] O Bhārgavī — birth after birth, grant me: victory in debate, attracting many people, stable youthfulness, enjoyment of noble women, attainment of grandchildren and other descendants, and the fulfilment of all purposes.

सुवर्णवृद्धिं कुरु मे गृहे श्रीः
सुधान्यवृद्धिं कुरू मे गृहे श्रीः ।
कल्याणवृद्धिं कुरु मे गृहे श्रीः
विभूतिवृद्धिं कुरु मे गृहे श्रीः ॥ 106 ॥
suvarṇavṛddhiṃ kuru mē gṛhē śrīḥ
sudhānyavṛddhiṃ kurū mē gṛhē śrīḥ ।
kalyāṇavṛddhiṃ kuru mē gṛhē śrīḥ
vibhūtivṛddhiṃ kuru mē gṛhē śrīḥ ॥ 106 ॥
[Phalaśruti verse 106:] O Śrī — increase gold in my home! O Śrī — increase auspicious grain in my home! O Śrī — increase welfare and auspiciousness in my home! O Śrī — increase splendour and glory in my home!

ध्यायेल्लक्ष्मीं प्रहसितमुखीं कोटिबालार्कभासां
विद्युद्वर्णाम्बरवरधरां भूषणाढ्यां सुशोभाम् ।
बीजापूरं सरसिजयुगं बिभ्रतीं स्वर्णपात्रं
भर्त्रायुक्तां मुहुरभयदां मह्यमप्यच्युतश्रीः ॥ 107 ॥
dhyāyēllakṣmīṃ prahasitamukhīṃ kōṭibālārkabhāsāṃ
vidyudvarṇāmbaravaradharāṃ bhūṣaṇāḍhyāṃ suśōbhām ।
bījāpūraṃ sarasijayugaṃ bibhratīṃ svarṇapātraṃ
bhartrāyuktāṃ muhurabhayadāṃ mahyamapyachyutaśrīḥ ॥ 107 ॥
[Final Dhyāna verse (verse 107):] One should meditate on Lakṣmī: with a gently smiling face, radiant as a crore of morning suns, wearing lightning-coloured garments, holding lotuses and the boon-granting gesture, adorned with every ornament, supremely beautiful — holding the citron (bījāpūra) fruit and a pair of lotuses in one hand, and a golden pot in another, filling all the space of the three worlds with her radiance.

Verse 116
गुह्यातिगुह्यगोप्त्री त्वं गृहाणास्मत्कृतं जपम् ।
सिद्धिर्भवतु मे देवि त्वत्प्रसादान्मयि स्थिता ॥ 108 ॥
guhyātiguhyagōptrī tvaṃ gṛhāṇāsmatkṛtaṃ japam ।
siddhirbhavatu mē dēvi tvatprasādānmayi sthitā ॥ 108 ॥
[Final verse (verse 108):] O you who are the guardian of the most secret of all secrets — accept our japa (recitation). O Goddess, may the siddhi (perfection/fulfilment) that rests in me come about by your grace.
