Each verse is dedicated to one syllable of this mantra, highlighting different attributes and aspects of Lord Shiva. The first verse focuses on the syllable Om, which is meditated upon by yogis and is said to grant desires and liberation. The second verse praises the syllable Na, revered by sages and celestial beings, and acknowledges Lord Shiva as the primordial deity. The third verse emphasizes the syllable Ma, associating it with the great principle and Lord Shiva's role in imparting knowledge and removing great sins. The fourth verse is dedicated to the syllable Va, highlighting Lord Shiva's vehicle, the bull, and his adornment with the serpent Vasuki, as well as his consort Goddess Devi Parvati. The final verse focuses on the syllable Ya, describing it as auspicious and eternally blissful, representing Lord Shiva's divine presence.
