The Neela Suktam is a Vedic hymn from the Taittiriya Samhita that venerates Neela Devi, regarded as a divine consort of Lord Vishnu alongside Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. The term Neela refers to the deep blue or sapphire hue, symbolizing the infinite expanse of the sky and cosmic stability.
This brief suktam invokes Neela Devi as Vishṇupatnī, the wife of Vishnu, describing her as the firm support of the heavens and the sustainer of the earth. The verses call upon cosmic powers including Brihaspati, Matarishvan, and Vayu to bestow their blessings.
